All-on-4® Implants
Are you tired of traditional dentures and are ready for an upgrade? At Artistic Dentistry, we offer All-on-4® Implants in Tucson, AZ. These small dental implants permanently hold your dentures in place, allowing you to enjoy the full benefits of a functional, healthy smile.
All-on-4® implants are a minimally invasive solution for your missing teeth! This system of implant-supported dentures helps to replace a full arch of teeth to restore your smile, oral health and oral function. The All-on-4 treatment concept is one of the best solutions for full-arch treatment, using only four strategically placed implants to fully replace your missing teeth. In many cases, your dentures can be fixed atop the implants the same day that they are placed to give you back a healthy smile more quickly.
Our dentists will evaluate your teeth and mouth to determine if you are a good candidate for this dental treatment. We will work with you throughout the implant placement process to ensure that your implant posts are optimally placed to provide you with a stable and long-lasting solution that feels and functions like your natural teeth.
Advantages of All-on-4 implant-supported dentures include:
- Full-arch rehabilitation with only four implants
- Immediate function
- No need for a bone grafting procedure
- Rapid improvement in quality of life
- Shorter overall treatment time
- A less invasive treatment
- A more cost-effective treatment

Implant-Supported Dentures
If you are looking for a stable, lasting solution for multiple missing teeth, our dentists may recommend implant-supported dentures. Implant-retained dentures are very similar in form to traditional dentures; however, they are stabilized by dental implants. Very often, denture wearers complain that dentures become loose and “float” around the mouth, limiting their ability to eat and speak comfortably. Implant dentures are a cost-effective solution, and in many cases, we can even retrofit an existing denture with implants.
The first step in anchoring your denture with dental implants is the placement of the implants. The dental implants, which are similar in appearance to screws, are surgically inserted into the jawbone in order to securely anchor your denture. While the specific number of implants required will depend on your individual needs, most cases require four to six dental implants per denture. Once the implants have been placed and allowed sufficient healing time, your denture is attached on top. Implants provide your denture with exceptional stability. In fact, many patients report that their implant-retained dentures feel and function like their natural teeth.

Snap-On Dentures
While dentures are a great way to restore your smile if you are missing teeth, sometimes changes to the gums and bone over time can result in an improper and less stable fit. Our dentists can provide snap-on dentures as an alternative option to restore your smile.
Snap-on dentures, sometimes referred to as overdentures or implant-supported dentures, are held in place by several strategically placed implants. The denture then “snaps on” to those implants to restore your smile and give you a stable and reliable solution for your teeth and oral health. Snap-on dentures typically require only two implants to be placed, though more may be recommended based on your individual needs. These implants provide a stable foundation for your dentures so that they can remain in position when you chew. They also make it easy for you to insert the denture and remove it for daily cleaning and maintenance.
Advantages of snap-on dentures include:
- Attachments that prevent your denture from pressing down too hard on the gumline and causing discomfort or problems with the gums
- Significantly greater function and comfort than traditional removable dentures
- Increased stability for your dentures, including no “floating” or loose dentures
- Improved confidence
- The ability to eat and drink what you want

Bone Grafting
Sometimes, a restorative dental treatment, such as a dental implant, requires more intensive work in the form of bone grafting. This treatment is used by our dentists to stabilize and strengthen the bone structure of the mouth so that it can support fake teeth, or dental implants.
If you require more intensive treatment, such as oral surgery, one of our surgical treatments is bone grafting. Bone grafting is typically used when preparing for a dental implant. This treatment can restore bone structure, which may have receded and been reabsorbed by the body after the loss of a tooth or due to periodontal disease.
Using a piece of bone from another part of your body or jaw, we will carefully transplant the bone material into the weakened area of the jawbone. Over time, this new bone tissue will fuse with the existing bone to create a strong, stable foundation for other restorative dental treatments. Artificial bone and bone fragments from a tissue bank can be used if needed.
This oral surgery treatment is usually only recommended if your bone density is not sufficient enough to support more rigorous restoration treatments. Our dentists will discuss your treatment options with you so you can get the most out of your dental care.
We encourage you to ask our dentists questions if you require bone grafting to restore your smile or prepare for a dental implant. We are happy to keep you educated about your care and provide the best possible treatment for your smile. Call or visit us today to learn more!
Composite Dental Fillings
Traditionally, dental fillings have been made of silver amalgam. However, our dental office uses only composite, or tooth-colored, filling material. Our dentists and team have chosen to use composite filling materials in order to provide you with a more natural-looking result and to promote better long-term oral health. There are many benefits to composite fillings, including:
- Material that bonds to your tooth to provide more support for the tooth’s structural integrity
- Reduced risk of the treated tooth breaking or fracturing in the future
- Insulation from temperature changes caused by foods and beverages
- Better seals around the edges of the damaged area, increasing the tooth’s resistance to decay and leaks
- The ability to correct cavities that are too small for amalgam fillings to repair
- Fillings that can be repaired and replaced without being removed from the tooth
- No mercury or other metals are used, making the filling safer
When you receive a composite dental filling, our dentists will carefully select a filling that matches your natural tooth color to give you a more beautiful and healthier-looking smile. Fillings can usually be placed in a single appointment.
Dental Bridges
Do you have missing teeth? At Artistic Dentistry, we offer zirconia dental bridges in Tucson, Arizona. This restorative treatment is a great alternative to dental implants and is used to fill the gaps left by missing teeth.
Unlike dental implants or different types of dentures, dental bridges are more affordable and last just as long. This fixed dental restoration is permanently anchored in your mouth using dental crowns and fills the gaps left by missing teeth for a more uniform appearance.
Some of the uses for dental bridges are:
- Improving a smile’s appearance
- Eliminating the need for a removable oral appliance
- Restoring the ability to chew and talk properly
- Preventing natural teeth from shifting
As with most dental restorations, dental bridges are custom created to fit your needs and the shape of your mouth. They restore the utility of your teeth and improve the aesthetic appearance of your smile. Dental bridges typically require two visits to our dental office to complete and are noninvasive.
Our personable dentists and team are committed to repairing your smile and helping you maintain your oral health. We encourage you to give our dental office a call today to request an appointment with our experienced dentists and learn more about dental bridges and how they can enhance your teeth for a more pleasing and functional smile.
Dental Crowns
As one of the more common dental restorations we offer, dental crowns are used when cavities caused by dental decay are too severe to be repaired by traditional dental fillings. Often known as a dental “cap,” a dental crown is used to cover healthy parts of the tooth to retain as much of the natural tooth as possible while also restoring the functionality of the damaged tooth. The dental crown is custom made and shaped to fit the tooth and comfortably match your bite. This dental restoration can be made from gold, metal or porcelain. Most patients prefer porcelain crowns because they look like normal teeth.
Dental crowns can be used for multiple restorative and cosmetic dentistry purposes, including:
- Dental implant restorations
- Dental bridges
- Misshapen teeth
- Broken teeth
- “Caps” for teeth after root canal therapy
This easy restorative treatment can be completed in one or two appointments, depending on the extent of the repair needed. Our dentists will discuss the process with you to help you get the most out of your oral health.
